About us:
I Know My Concepts is an online store specializing in resources to develop the early learning of basic concepts such as numbers, shapes, colours and letters. Our first product range focuses on early learning of numbers.
The books and resources are designed to allow young children to discover the world of basic concepts in a fun and exciting way. We are passionate about making learning fun and equipping young minds with the tools they need to enter formal schooling with confidence and a love for basic concepts.
About the author:
My name is Gwynne Chedzey, I am a mom (first), an occupational therapist, and a Chief Education Therapist. I developed these resources for my son, Jake, when he was three years old. I noticed how quickly he learned his basic concepts from exposure to fun characters and rhymes. He could learn any black symbol (letter, number or shape) once he had a story and attached meaning to the symbols.

Meet the team:
We are a small family from Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. We love to spend time together outdoors, camping and enjoying our hobbies. I Know My Concepts is a team effort, with Jake (10) being the inspiration as well as the packer, delivery guy and all-round promoter of the products. Brian is our business planner and financial advisor.

I Know My Numbers
Learning numbers 1 to 9 can be daunting for a young child. These black symbols often confuse children as they look similar and have no real meaning to them. I Know My Numbers offers a learning tool to help identify and support early learning of number concepts. Children get to meet fun characters whose names and shapes are designed to use auditory and visual learning to ensure basic concepts are learned quickly and effectively.
- The storybook
- Ideal for moms and dads to read to little ones at home and to use at story time in the classroom by the teacher.
- The posters
- A4 posters allow each number to be learnt individually and displayed in the children’s room or classroom.
- The fridge magnets
- Allow your child to play with the characters they have learned. Can they put them in order on the fridge?
